I always tell this about my Mom. I don’t remember my mom doing a lot of painting when I was young. She waited until my sisters and I left to start our life as adults. Then she went and got a degree. Turned the back patio into an art studio. I was raising my own family and I know how it is to spend time doing art. Life gets in the way. When Mom offered any of her art I took it in a second. I love it as do a lot of people.
Mom didn’t want to commercialize her art and as when you sell it does boost your ego a little, she just liked Painting. I did a internet search for her art once and found one article talking about whose art was going to be in a gallery. I saw a photo of a brouchere. Word of mouth was good enough for her. When her work had gotten some recognition, she started to travel to Euroupe to take photos and come home and paint from them. She would sell some and that funded her next trip to some far off land. And so it went.
I am going to promote my Moms artwork along with mine. Why? because I thought her work was always really good and I want everybody to see it. Enjoy
